Objectives of the APL 

The objectives of the APL are to promote the improvement of lightning protection technique and to narrow the gap between the Asian and Pacific countries in the field of lightning protection. Main missions are as follows;

• a . The APL provides a common ground for information exchange between lightning protection
• engineers mainly in Asian and Pacific countries.
• b . The APL promotes the spread of lightning protection techniques for Asia and Pacific
• countries.
• c . The APL discusses the problem on the lightning protection standardization for applying it in
• the best way.
• d . The APL encourages the commercial activities relevant to lightning protection .
